Caveat - This will not sound right without the foot pedal inline with the guitar.
This preset is tricky but sounds decent. I apologize in advance for my playing ability (lack of) in the sample ; D
*NOTE: my guitar is tuned down to C (I think) two flats down from standard. I haven't tried to tune it to whatever the tuning in for Sweet Child o'Mine is.
Equipment: VOX AD30VT (amp - of course you already know this one), Ibanez Ts9DX Turbo Tube Screamer (foot pedal), Schecter - Hellraiser (guitar) with EMG pickups.
----------- Guitar Settings -----------------------------------------
1) Set Guitar pickup to the one closest to the neck/fretboard
2) Set Guitar bass to 100% of full power
3) Set Guitar Mid to 50% of full power
4) Set Guitar Treble to 40% of full power

------- Ibanez Tube Screamer Settings -------------
1) Set drive due North
2) Set Level to just clockwise of the first tick mark counted clockwise from due west
3) Set tone to due North
4) Set the voice setting (or whatever it is called - lower left hand corner button) to the plus sign which is in between Hot and Ts9
1)Set all dials on amp (see exception below first)
**except** for the Edit 1 and Edit 2 (save these two for last).
1) Edit 2: Set as shown in diagram (hold down tap button and turn Edit 1 knob to the Edit 2 location shown)
2) **This setting seems to be the most important**
Edit 1: Set knob directly west then pluck the open D (4th) string and turn knob very slightly counter clockwise and listen for the first change in tone. That should be it. The sound should change to a kind of odd buzz sound (or something like that). Don't turn it too much or it kills the tone and ultimate sound interactions.
