Getting an AC/DC tone with the Vox AD series (specifically with my AD30VT) is so damn hard. I've seen all the AC/DC presents on this site and a lot of them have high gain on already distorted amp types. No...just no. Listen to any AC/DC song closely and you'll hear that they play with a fairly clean sound. The natural distortion that gives their sound that famous crunch is all in the power of their amps . Pump up the volume of any amp on a clean channel and you'll get some distortion. That's what I've been aiming for here.
UK modern is not a clean amp type, but using very low gain and high volume, you can get a close and "clean" AC/DC tone without blowing out the amp or your ears. Keep Treble - Bass around halfway. Use your rear (treble) pickup or else it will sound too bassy.
You can also try it on the AC15 amp type. Bump up the gain about halfway and you can get a nice crunchy sound akin to AC/DC.
