This is my Universal setting. I use the same tone configuration with the Black 2x12, Tweed, AC15 & 30 and UK 70's amp models. At times I'll push the input with a MXR Dyna Comp (more for gain than compression) and an overdrive. Even the default effects sound great with this, particularly the reverb, delay, rotary/rev, flanger/rev, chorus/rev. Try storing the UK 70 and Tweed in the memories and use the Black as the manual and you have a fantastic 3 channel amp. Even the high gain models sound good with these settings. (Sorry, no "scoop" allowed in my tone book...). |
