This is just what I use most of the time with both my Ric 381 and Gretsch Anni. I tend to stay with the neck pick-ups, with volume all the way up. I put the tone controls in different places, even while playing, but usually start in the middle.
I realize its a simple setting, but oh how COOL it sounds to me. Experiment with the Compressor drive/level to suit your tastes.
