Détail du preset valvetronix -> Brian May : Brian's Main Lead and Rhythm

nom Brian's Main Lead and Rhythm
informations This is really great for any kind of Brian May lead or Rhythm. I used a RS Classic Brian May Replica, into my BBE or Vox Deacy Treble Booster into the Valvetronix. To get a good Rhythm sound for things like Tie Your Mother Down, or Hammer to Fall, or basically any of his work, you have to back off on the volume control about 1/4 or more. For lead work turn it up to the max. It really helps if you have a Red Special (Brian's Homemade Guitar for those who don't know.) or a guitar with Burns Tri-Sonics wired in series so you can dial into Brian's different tones that come from his guitar. This amp isn't very good for Brian's work without a Treble Booster.

I put the AC30TB amp model on there, but with a treble booster it doesn't matter if you use it on AC30TB, or the AC15 model. The only difference is that on the AC30TB it has a bit more sustain and a more distorted sound, but both work great. I actually perfer the AC15 model for Queen's earlier work.

Add all the effects you want to get sounds for different songs...EX. Heavy Phaser for things like White Man, and Heavy Flanger for Keep Yourself Alive, and a touch of chorus for Tie Your Mother Down, or One Vision. Heavy Delays for the three-part harmonies of Brian's Brighton Rock Solo's.

This is the main amp tone I use all the time, and it will work with all of Brian's stuff if you have a proper Treble Booster, and a good guitar equipped with the right set of pickups.
