vc 12 setting parameter

Postby bill rand » 05 Feb 2012, 20:23

Hi Rich just checked out the new vid excellent work :D , but i noticed you say thet the volume pedal can be set so that it has a lower rhythm volume then kicked forwar do solo then im assuming you mean all the way bach to get to the rhythm volume again? Ive looked into this in the manual and its also been mentioned in the forum once or twice but i cant seem to do it or has anyone else said they can, ie resorted to putting spacers under the pedal. Is it possible or not :)

Only with the VTX150 Pro - remember the golden rule. the floor-controller can only do what's programmed in the amp. The VTX150 can't mix delay and flanger - so if the delay is selected, the modulation pedal in the VC12 does nothing (& vice-a-versa). With the blues it can do this - because the blues have independent delay & modulation sections.

With the VC12/Pro combination, the Pro amp allows the expression pedal parameters to be set on certain things (eg ease in gain); ditto the Volume pedal range can be varied (in fact there are factory presets in the Pro that do this when linked to the VC12). But the Blues can't do this because their programming software doesn't include these options.

Hope this helps & glad you liked the vid Bill.

BTW Bill, my solution to the clean lead boost problem (which works very nicely) is to put a BBE Boosta Grand pedal after the EQ but before the BBE Sonic Maximiser in my FX loop. I can set the volume control on the BBEBG at the level I want, and I just kick it in whenever I want to raise the volume for the solo. Because it's global in the FX loop, I don't have to change individual patches & its quick & easy to tweak on stage if I need to adjust it a bit.

(If I want a distortion boost, then of course I just kick in tube or fat over-drive set at a higher volume)

Rich

Yep i have a Toadworks boost pedal in my loop along with everything else lol. I was just curious about the vc12 volume pedal as its been mentioned in the past and as i say no one seemed to be able to do it. By the way im hoping to get hold of an ac15c1 soon and looking forward to seeing if all the stuff on my loop board ie eq>echo park> boost>looper>bbe sounds any good through the front of the ac15
