VC-12 issue?

Postby Tone_Daddy » 03 Feb 2012, 17:15

Hi everyone!
Long story short, when I try and transmit stored data from my VC-12 to my VTX, nothing seems to have happened when I turn the amp back on. That is, it seems as if the factory presets are still intact and no transfer has occurred.
I've followed the instructions to the letter, and according to the displays the transfer was a success, but no apparent changes to the patches. Am I doing something wrong?
I'm sorry if this has been addressed before.
Thanks in advance!

Hmm - I wonder if the data in your amp & VC12 is the same - there are 4 'switches' in the VC12 - have you tried transferring another one of these to see what happens?

Ah, perhaps you're right Voxman. I'll try loading another switch to see what happens. I was in a bit of a hurry this morning.
I purchased the unit used on E-Bay so there was no way to know if the factory patches were still intact. It sounds like the switch 1 patches may have been over-written with Valvetronix factory presets.

I just loaded switch 2 into the Valvetronix and the transfer seems to have worked this time. I wonder if anyone mapped out the VC-12 patches so they could be re-loaded manually through the Valvetronix?
