I've bought this amp, only slightly used, in very good condition. It has many features, 8 bank for saving user sound, nice Vox design... but I'm very disapointed with sound. Sharp trebles, unnatural mids, strange hi-fi like bass. I can't still beileve it, but I spent hours trying to tune some usable electric guitar sound with my USA strat, but without any success. I'm sorry, but various other gear e.g. POD 2.0 playing direct to PA sounds more better.

Well, now it's in the right forum, so my first comment is no longer valid. Check out the stuffing/insulation, though. It's that time of year.

Thanks very much for answer and tips. I hoped that VT30 was my ideal small amp for home practising and even small gigs, but I was disapointed.

Let us know how it goes when you add stuffing. As I said in that thread, just try adding a small pillow and see what that does. And as I also said there, I was initially quite disappointed with my VT30's sound, and now I'm very happy with it.

I sold VT30 because of I absolutely dislike sound of it. But now I buy some used VT15 (very low price and excellent condition). And it's very big surprise - it has only 8" speaker but it sounds much better to my ears than previous and I'm very satisfied now I don't understand it. Maybe its speaker is better voiced then 10" one in VT30 or VT30 had some minor fault.

Did you ever try adding sound insulation, like a pillow, to your VT30? That totally transformed the sound of my VT30, as I previously mentioned.

Yes, I tried it before selling, but without success. How I wrote, smaller VT15 with smaller speaker sounds much better than VT30.
