the other trim pot is to trim the pedal ... not the stiffness of it, but to really trim it be at zero when it is supposed to, i.e. to adjust its sensitivity. I have never tried myself, but it looks like the procedure is much the same as for the tube bias except the keys to hold down etc. are different. If still interesting for you I#ll look it up
