Tonelab ST - Help!

Postby Kaspian » 29 Dec 2010, 16:29

Hi all,
it's my first post here.
I just bought TLST (week ago) and I am very disappointed so far... all distortion tones sunds like "out from the box", muddy, dark and weak attack.
My rig - two strat copies (humbs Schaller and Evolution on the bridges), Blackheart BH5H (new tubes, sounds good itself), 1x12 Greenback.
I tryed different combinations with Amp settings (Vox, F, M) and switching off the cabinet modeling - it makes change but sound is still "boxed". Factory patches and my own tones - not good result.

I bought it mainly because of Voxman's demo (wich sounds great) and now I am considering to return it to the shop (I have still around 1 month to make final decision).

Any help or ideas will be appreciated :-)

Best regards, Jarek.
(sorry for my english)

Try an amp reset and cleaning the TLST jack sockets. If that doesn't fix your problem, you likely have a faulty unit & you should change it.
