tonelab le valve HELP?

Postby mickeyG » 31 Jan 2008, 20:40

I've just bought a tonelab le second hand.

The question is should the valve itself glow? and when? what colour? and how bright?

There is an orange led alight behind it, but I havent seen the valve glow?

Does this indicate a fault?

Thanks In Advance
Michael

No, it won't glow. Well, maybe a tiny bit.

The LED is there because most people expect the valve to glow and would be disappointed if it did not!

You would need to get real close, amd look right don inside the metal structure. Only the heater filament glows, and that's right in the middle of it all.
