Tone Lab SE,kroke and i fixedit

Postby CHAMBITAS » 05 Feb 2008, 20:07

My T.L.S.E was acting realy stupid,it work fine some times and then it will not do what i ask,it will go to a different bank and it tried to start editing programs addind different pedals and it was realy anpredictable.
So i got it apart and there was a screw that was laying on one of the circuit boards and was some how causing interferance.I notice that about 80% of all the bolts inside were loose.

Is this a used unit?

It may be that someone has had it in pieces.

Did you notice any of the screws missing from the enclosure itself??

In other words, is it more possible that it was a loose screw that happened to fall inside during shipping, or does it seem like an "extra" screw that had somehow been left inside there from the start?

It was one of 4 bolts that hold the circuit board on to the frame.

Good catch, and glad that it worked out.

An unintended short circuit can always cause wacky things to happen. You're lucky that it didn't smoke the board. Most things that you buy that contain nuts, bolts, screws, etc. will tell you in the manual to check their tightness after shipping.

Not that 99.9% of the people bother to do that anyway, but I just thought I would point that out.
