TLLE: separate the foot controls from the dials? modificatio

Postby JFrankParnell » 07 Apr 2010, 17:47

Welp, i love my TLLE. What i dont like is either having it on the floor and having to bend over to tweak the knobs, or having it up on a table and having to play with the footswitches and ep with my hand.

Wouldnt it be cool if this was a two piece thing? A box with the dials and display that you could put in a rack or on top of your amp, and a floor box with just the foot pedals.

I took the main cover off the thing and see that it might be doable. all the pieces are separated inside, and connected with ribbon cables. Thing is, I'm no electronix expert. Although it looks straightforward, i wonder if there would be issues with cable lengths and the component's proximity to each other. I wonder if there are issues that i'm not smart enough to consider

Your thoughts?

Buy a used destop tonelab and a VC-12. I use that at church now since we went ampless on stage.... I dont think cutting up your LE is a good idea
