Replacing stock speaker on Vox valvetronix vt40+

Postby snowdog61 » 25 Dec 2011, 02:43

Hello everyone and Merry Christmas to all! After doing some reading about speaker changes, I would like some advice or options about replacing the stock 10" speaker on my Vox valvetronix vt40+. I like the tube'ish sound of the amp itself, but I get that "drum brush sound" Iv'e read so much about. Any idea's about speaker change?(brand, type etc.) Thanks :D

Merry Xmas! But a speaker change won't get rid of the snare-drum sound I'm afraid.
