Replacing AD30VT stereo double pot variable resistor

Postby astrojr1 » 15 Sep 2011, 22:59

I must replace this pot. I'm having trouble finding the replacement. The part numbers in the service manual do not match any of the major electronics suppliers I searched - Mouser, Jameco, Digikey. Can anyone recommend where and how I should be looking? I would love to RTFM but I can't Find TFM to R. Please help a newber out.
Thanks

Service manual part numbers are Vox numbers, not our world. You need to search for a pot with the same aspects such as those listed below:

Value
Taper
Right angle
split knurled shaft (just a guess)
PCB mount
Height dimensions
Pin layout dimensions
pin distance to front of pot, to name a few.
AD60VTX • VC12 • Classic Crybaby
Strat & Lace Golds • Paul & Mightymites

If you are talking about the Wattage level pot on the back...
I just used the 100K stereo pot from RadioShack.
Yeah, I had to cut off the tabs and solder some solid wire to the pot so it would mount to the PCB, but it worked fine for my needs. YMMV
