Repair to headphone jack on TLLE

Postby CoachP7 » 20 Sep 2010, 18:33

Can anyone steer me on repairing/replacing my headphone jack on my TLLE?

"Self-inflicted" wound here, I think, but the sound thru my headphones is inconsistent - little bit in the right ear; sometimes the left ear only; sometimes works. I have to wiggle the jack and hope it rests (stops) with proper contact being made.

Anyone have the part number where I could order a new one?

Or, if I was to open the chassis up, has something maybe just got bent and I could re-bend to its orig shape?

Any help is appreciated.

Check the solder connections where the jack attaches to the circuit board, most likely you have damaged a connection and it needs to be re-soldered or the trace repaired.
