Questions RE: VC-12 Foot Controller

Postby Telegib » 22 Jul 2011, 15:03

Good morning. I just found and purchased a VC12 Foot controller. Lot bigger than I thought.

I don't mean to sound stupid but no where in the manual does explain or talk about the "already programmed pre-sets" it has. It only explains how to pull saved pre-sets from the amp to the controller and from the controller to the amp. The only reason I know this VC12 has it's own pre-sets is from being on this site and I was also able to print out the "VOX VC-12 Bank Presets" that I found here on this site.

Anyway, I am interested in keeping the tones that came with the VC12 at least until I have time to listen to them and see if I want to keep them...., but I also want my saved tones in my amp. How can I pull these saved tones from my amp and save them in the VC12 without overwriting whats already on the VC12 ?

I have a ad120VT and an ad120VTX.....
Now, yesterday, just for shits and grins, I plugged the VC12 into my other amp (ad120VT) and it automatically showed the last banked tones I used on the amp - bank 4.1.......but when I played it , it was not the same tones as what I have saved in my AMP, bank 4.1 I assumed it was the tones saved in the VC12, bank 4/1 ???

I really want to use this VC12 but we are gigging every weekend both FR and Sat and I'm struggling to find time during the week to play with it. I don't want to gig live with it until Iam familiar with it.
Can anyone help me get a better handle on this ?

I know this is prob a simple thing but I kinda need a quick jump start. Thanks in advance. :)

Well, I just read Rich's post on the home page about the VC12. Printed it. read it. Seems like a better explaination..I'm sure I'll read it again. LOL.

Thx.
