A quick one - is it safe to change wattage settings while the amp is switched on or should I turn the amp off to do this. I don't want to cause any damage

Just to reinforce Bob's response, I thought I'd mention that that's official from Vox too (something I'd checked with them years ago!)

To further confirm, I do this all the time with no ill effects (except that I get louder).

I thought it was the amp that was supposed to get louder?!
