Today I took the telefunken back out because it didn't entirely blow me away like some have posted. I tried the EH again and realized the telefunken does sound better so I put it back in and added a small pillow to the cabinet. Sounds better. Need to do the loop and get the EQ in it.

What is the best source for the mod? I saw one for the AD series. Are those the same solder points?

That is a great mod Retro. I like the idea of the plug in mod and i'll cut out the hole. I'll have to get a price.

After spending several hours with my 90's UK sound patch I came up with a setting that sounds good. It matches up quite well with the Deville although the Deville is a little brighter. I've got a great humbucker sound which is coil tapped and great sounds from all 5 pup positions. The gain is at 11, V 8:30, treb-almost 9, Mid-4:30, bass-9:30, reverb-7, MV -3 and PL backed off a little. It sounds like a tube amp with a bit of crunch. I hit it with the TS9 and it gets even better. Hit it with the Love Eternity clone.....shimmering crunch.

I'm warming up to it!
