New Discovery!!

Postby wolfgang-01 » 30 Jan 2012, 02:03

Hey guy's, I have just experimented with my AD120VTH and matching 4x12 cab once again. I remember a post that people were having trouble with some artifacts in the line and while playing. I have been using a boss 7 band eq in the loop for about ten years and I usually use one in front of the amp as well. I have noticed issues with noise from time to time as well as these artifacts that leave me frustrated and i just put it down. Well, I purshased a Mogami Platinum 20' cable and pluged it into my Modded Marshall JCM2000 and a VHT Lead-20 both are tube. I wanted to see if the cable actually is better than my other cables. The answer: Is night and day! I can't believe it! So I decided to connect to the AD120VTH with the cable straight into the head. Finally! Great tone. So I put the eq back in front of the head and try it again. Note: 7 band with upside down smile (frown). I am finally closer to where I want to be. I tried my exotic RC Booster, Seymore Duncan pickup booster, Nano Booster, Line6 M13 with several different combinations. Just wanted to pass this on. I will now only purchase Mogami or Asterope cables from now on. Lesson learned!

By the way some of the cables where monster Rock/Jazz, planet waves, fender, vox and Guitar Center cheapies $20.00
