Any pro sound shop or amp tech should know what you mean when you ask for a shorting jack.
There is also the idea that you may be able to bend the limits of the amp a bit. My amp has an 8 ohm speaker stock, expects an 8 ohm load. But I've found (and been told) that it's ok to run this amp with a mismatch using a 16 ohm speaker. The reason is if you know you will always need to use two or three speaekrs, you can put a 16 ohm speaker in the amp, wire the jack for simple parallel, then plug in a 16 ohm cab and the amp will still see the expected 8 ohm load. That way you can run the cab and the internal speaker at the same time. Huge huge sound!
Get in tune with your higher harmonic.
