My Tonelab and VC-4 on Ebay.co.uk

Postby Nik » 02 Jan 2010, 13:45

Yes, I put my Tonelab on UK Ebay.

Why?
Well, great though it is, I have found myself for several months now only really using one tone from it. That's a Brian May-style AC30 with treble booster slamming its front end. Although the TL does this tone very well, I have a couple of other devices - Hughes & Kettner Crunch Master and a Marshall 9001 preamp - that do it equally well. I don't use Reverb at all. I use chorus very little and I have been using an old Lexicon Vortex FX unit for it's wild modulated delays instead of the delays in the TL. And I have a real treble booster.

So, as part of an on-going ratonalisation of my music gear, the Tonelab is redundant.

I'll still visit here from time to time, and Rich (Voxman) has my contact details. And if I do return to Tonelab ownership, it will be with an LE.

If anyone gets their hands on the LE service manual, give me a shout!
Nik - bickering twat.
