I have two 60 s vtx and vt far more portable, very loud especially with bbess and eq pedal, line out very good or can as you say be miked, why bother humping a 120 about lol. Anyway to answer your question .... yes vc12 will work just transfer settings across :D

Wow...found out my prob...band light bulb in garage. You would not believe how badly it effected sound. Amazing!!
