micro amp speaker replcement

Postby bill rand » 24 Apr 2011, 12:23

Hi guys just received an Orange micro crush pix amp free for signing up to total guitar mag, anyway im just wondering if i could upgrade the speaker, its a 4". Amp sounds great through headphones but a bit rough when volume up past half way so i thought maybe a car stereo speaker? but not sure what the sensitivity of these would be. Any ideas would be good thanks guys

match impedance for best results.
I am not sure how a car speaker will sound. They are made for full range. It may be fine, it may sound like crap. I have never tried it.

Cheers Paragon i will see what happens when i can be bothered lol, as i say sounds great through headphones so maybe the neutral reproduction of a stereo speaker might do the trick, nice little micro amp though, battery lasts up to 18 hrs i doubt the speaker is up to scratch on a £30 bit of kit
