Is the Mesa Mark V a modelling amp?

Postby sooner » 08 Apr 2010, 02:01

Hi all,

Just seen some reviews on the amp and realised that it is similar to my ADxxVT-XL in a sense because it has many sounds to it. But I think that's where the similarities end because I think that they are full tube amps.

Anyone played with those amps?

They are night & day - the Mk V is all tube as you rightly say - & it costs about £2,500. It contains different renowned Mesa tone circuitry but does not 'model' - the circuitry is real (ie not digital).
