I just used a AD100VTH W/4X12 cab on stage.
Without a mic....
I have always suspected that this amp could stage gig easy...
But this site suggested otherwise... And told people otherwise.
"Practice amp" is it's name... The old line "tube was king" was maintained.....
Yet... I used it on stage... had tube amp users ask me what I used...
Sounded great from what was heard... from them.
I must leave this site. The old mindset of "tube is king" still learks here.
Here still lies blatant overrides in logic, physics and the thought that the magical tube is all the answer...
Here lies the past... and if people follow you... the future never comes.
Thank you all for giving me advise on how to use the Valvetronix.
Time for me to enter the future.

We never said it wasn't loud enough, and we never said it didn't sound good enough. We did suggest that it does not have the versatility of most programmable digital modelling amps, and we did suggest that it does not have the reliability and build quality of a pro. spec. amp.
Personnaly, I am sue that solid state amps can sound every bit as good as valve amps. Whether it is in the best interests of theb manufacturers to make cheap SS amps that sound as good as expensive valve amps is a different matter.

When? Who ever said you couldn't use the AD100VTH on stage?!? It's a gigging amp! Find me a quote! "Practice amp" is it's name... Ummm, no its not....excuse me Ryan...but have you READ this forum?!! I think I must have come into the twilight zone or something! I've been promoting these amps for YEARS...I don't know what posts you've been reading but nobody has ever said the AD100VT/VTH is a practice amp. I think you've put 2+2 together to make 5.
What has been said, & is entirely correct, is that the original AD15/30VT's were specifically designed as practice amps. The AD100VT is simply a louder version of the same design & therefore lacks some of the features of the 'Blue' series amps - these are things like the presets, pedal section, cabinet construction, the way the valve-reactor works is slightly different, and effect combinations are more restrictive. Of course its intended for gigging - 100w for just your bedroom is nuts! Do you disagree with any of this?? The old line "tube was king" was maintained..... Darn tooting it was! This whole forum is about the VALVEtronix amps - to quote mind-sets of 'tube is king' is EXACTLY right....because what sets the tone of these amps apart from other modelling amps is that they use a TUBE in the power-section of the amp! Yet... I used it on stage... had tube amp users ask me what I used... Sounded great from what was heard... from them. And so it should - the Valvetronix are great amps! Just because it lacks certain features doesn't mean it still doesn't sound great! I must leave this site. Why? I mean, you're free to come & go as you like of course...same as anyone else here...I just think you've got yourself very confused & I'm at a loss to understand why.
The old mindset of "tube is king" still learks here. Yes, of course it is .... as above! Here still lies blatant overrides in logic, physics and the thought that the magical tube is all the answer... Here lies the past... and if people follow you... the future never comes. !!!???!!! I think you gotta stop taking that white powder Ryan...cos whatever you're on mate, it ain't doing you any good! It's certainly not helping your spelling either...it's 'lurks'
Now, this may be a surprise to you, so you'd better hang onto your hat & I don't want to be responsible for giving you a heart attack or anything! OK, sit yourself down with a nice cup of tea & relax... Ready? Here goes....
THERE IS A VALVE IN YOUR VALVETRONIX!!
- or did you think it was JUST digital modelling??!!Thank you all for giving me advise on how to use the Valvetronix. You're very welcomeTime for me to enter the future. I don't know about the future Ryan, but you need to get a hold on the present and read what's actually being said! Sorry mate, but I just don't know what you're on about or what's possibly going through your head to write this post....unless you're under contract with Line 6 of course, to cause anarchic disruption, chaos etc....makes sense though....Line 6 are probably shaking in their boots with fear at the prospect of the Black Diamond knocking a BIG dent in their Vetta II sales! If you are a Line 6 mole, just tell them it hasn't worked....& they should be afraid....be very afraid....the Black Diamond is coming!
I think I can safely say that this is the ODDEST post EVER written by anyone on this site. The whole raison d'etre of Valvetronix.net is the Valvetronix amps. And the whole design of the Valvetronix amps is entirely based around the Valve Reactor Circuitry that utilises a......VALVE! Which is most definitely king, of course!

Ryan, I've just been re-reading all your posts & folks responses. Nothing there but great discussion, your own admission that you're new to valves, clarification that the presence control in the AD100VTH is global, very positive support, & that you like the EQ at the front end. Nothing negative,..... & absoloutely no reference to it being labelled a 'practice amp'!!
So....where has all this sudden angst come from?!

Ryan,
Sounds like you were having a bad day when you wrote that post.
Forget all the talk. If it sounds good to you who cares if your amp doesnt have xyz.

Ryan, I'm sorry to hear that you're 'leaving'. Since I've 'arrived' at this forum, I've heard or rather, read, nothing but good not only about the amps but also the advice from Voxman, Retrobob and others that have enlightened the minds of others. I can only agree with Voxman and his defense that you have issues with this forum. Why? Have you receive bad advice? Did some mod or tweak not satisfy you fully? I'm beginning to think your final post was meant to be a troll...

Having re-read his post I'm not sure he was 'with us' or 'all there' even then!!
