Discussion forum for all things related to Vox' new computer-based jam and practice tool for guitar

Thought I'd get this section started with a reasonable question.
I'm thinking about purchasing a JamVox, and I'm wondering if those of you here who have one enjoy using it, and whether you find it a good practice tool?
Thanks in advance, Bob

Bob, there's quite a lot of talk on JamVox over at the Vox discussion forum: - http://www.voxamps.com/forum/forum.php?id=35Rich

Gee Rich, it doesn't seem like anyone reading this board is using a JamVox. There's plenty of discussion on the Vox website forum, but as I posted earlier, most tend to be problems and limitations. I know that's what forums usually draw, but I would think that Vox would be able to offer some kind of firmware upgrade or something to take care of the major concerns (resource usage - ie. the necessity of maxing the performance of your computer at the expense of some of the bells and whistles most people find helpful in Windows).
If anyone here has a JamVox and loves it, I'd like to know about it!
Bob

well i have one, initially i didn't like it much but when i bought a decent set of headphones for it, it came to life. I use it for all my home recording stuff now. The biggest disappointment seems to be aimed at the speaker and to be fair its crap, but its only 2 watts and probably isn't best quality so you couldn't expect much more.
the latest updates to the software have killed off the clicking and popping experienced early doors.
if you are going to buy one, decent studio monitors or decent headphones or you'll hate it.

Thanks! That's the first really positive news I've heard. I may look into one of these again, as I have good headphones, and can get my hands on good monitor speakers.

As we'd all need to register & log in, it would be great if you could post the review here too!

sorry about that, somebody must have messed with permissions, you don't notice that when you are logged in.
i'll do a similar thing here and do a few soundbites for it as well. it may take a couple or 3 weeks but it's on the list.
