It's under warranty, exchange it. And check the new one out before you leave the store - bring your headphones.

How are you cleaning the headphone jack?
And, what are you using to clean the headphone jack with?

These questions are important, as the cleaning process needs to be done correctly and multiple times with the right cleaners to be effective. When not performed correctly, it causes us to chase our tails searching for problems that may not exist.

Please read the maintenance tips thoroughly and perform the cleaning process diligently with the correct cleaning chemicals.

OK great, you're doing it correctly.

Here is a trick to help the cleaning solution get into the switching circuits of the jack;
Place the amp on its side (headphone jack side down), spray the cleaner into the jack and gently and slowly insert and remove the jack about 10 times. Now rotate the amp onto its other side (headphone jack side up) and repeat the cleaning process. Wait around ten minutes for the cleaner to dry completely and try the amp, repeat if necessary.

Turning the amp on its side will allow more of the cleaner to reach the switching contacts inside the jack, inserting the jack gently and slowly allows the switches to open and close while retaining enough cleaner to coat the switch contacts.

Be patient, the jacks can require numerous cleaning to get all the dirt out of them (even when new).

the speaker started working for about 30 seconds now its stopped again there was a pop then the amp has gone dead. tried a new fuse in the plug and in the amp no lights or anything nothing ,
ive had a few vox amps over the years some from the 60's 70's era a few hi watts an FAL from the seventies never had a problem apart from a blown speaker .wished id have kept one of them now but when i finished gigging i sold them. great days they were, me and a friend who plays the gob irons used to jam with the climax blues band in the eightys as one owned a blues bar in staffordshire and one night we were lucky enough to jam with rory gallagher .bloody hell could that guy play !

I'm so envious! And YES he could!

Unfortunately, it sounds like it is time to send the amp back for another one.
