Great fun, and really compact - slips into my little lead bag no problem! Tried it out through a friends PA yesterday - worked brilliantly.

Congrats on the purchase Rich.

Sounds great Rich! The guitar sounds are great, and your daughter's vocals are excellent...even better than the previous You Tube clips! I'm considering adding a ToneLab ST, but haven't decided yet.

I just bought one myself about 10 days ago. I too love some of the sounds I am getting out of this little box. I have a blue front ad60vth head, and also a tonelab desktop. With a vc12 foot controller, I can use both live. Since we have gone ampless, I have been using the tonelab into the mains, and using a kc150 for a monitor.
Our sound man told me today that my sound was great. I asked him to explain, and he said he could distinguish my guitar in the mix today much better than before. I recieved several other comments about my sound today also.... now if i can get complimented on my actual playing....haha.
The tonelab st is definetly cutting through the mix better than the destop model, but i am curious to know how the LE sounds in comparson. I have come to the conclusion, that I should be able to get by using this little st live on Sundays, since we are doing a relatively short set in comparison to doing a live show with much more to cover.
This brings up a lot more thoughts i have.....;why is Vox targeting the budget market only with their valvetronix line. With the valve reactor circut, they have the modelers in this range. If the the Black diamond prototype was not able to be profitable, why not at least come out with a full sized fully functional modeler based off the st. Its a shame! This thing sounds fantastic.
People are spending 4-500 bucks on line 6 crap that pales in comparison. Why? Because Vox, you are failing at marketing your product. I had to ask for the tonelab st at Guitar Center. He dug the only one they had from behind the counter somewhere. they dont even have it on display. Its almost if the salesman considered it another one of Vox's cheap modeling products, not knowing the tone jewl it really is. SAD!

Hey,
Does anyone have a printable layout of the Tonelab ST so that we can chart our presets?
Thank you,

Better than that, why don't you just use the TLST librarian software to build a library of all your different patches, that you can load into your ST as needed. The ST library gives you all the parameters in each patch automatically and you can 'print screen' as needed.

I have a question abou the Tonelabs......Are these made for specific kinds of amps ( tube, solid state)?
I ask because the other guitar player in my band plays through a Traynor YCV80 (tube amp) and uses a Line 6 POD XT-Live efffects unit.....and well,...uhmmm......more often than not, I don't care for the tone or effects I hear.......when compared to hearing my AD120VT.
At times he has complained about his sound or the POD effects unit, but I don't have the heart to tell him that he's got a great amp, but his tone sucks......at times.
Thoughts?...comments?
Thx. S.
