Hi guys sorry even i am getting bored with this lol, anyway re last post i have stripped down the bridge of my dot and managed to fix the earthing problem from that by con checking the earth wire to jack socket which was fine, so moved the bare ends and re inserted the bush all good now, just was nt connecting properly. Still have the buzz though which get worse when i touch the bridge pick up (not the neck) checked the earth to jack socket but seems fine.Any ideas as to what the prob might be? and if i could check anything with the meter to narrow it down without removing everything from the f holes for the 100th time lol, as i have fingers like pigs tits , and replacing the controls is a pain to do without disturbing the connections cheers again folks

This sounds like the shielding wire for the pickup has broken or come lose (bare wire). Touch a jumper wire from ground to the metal on the bridge pickup to see if this goes away.

Can you post a couple of pictures so we can see it?
