AD30VT XL Modded amp value?

Postby colinjosephmac » 08 Jul 2010, 20:15

I modded out this ad30vt XL amp about a year ago. I had a guy put in the FX loop in the back so I could run a EQ (thanks Voxman for the advice!) and a loop. I put a celestion g12h in as well.
These two things transformed the amp bigtime! I also added a cheap piece of gray cloth on the front, I didn't care for the black grill

I found a great deal online for a ad60vt blue amp, so now I'm probably looking to sell this amp. I love the $150 celestion g12h, so I will probably swap the speaker from the blue ad60vt into the XL, hopefully the ad60vt won't blow the 30 watt celestion g12h!

Could anyone estimate a reasonable street price in the u.s. for this modded XL with the celestion from the blue amp? (also have original factory speaker).

here's some cell phone pics:

If you plan on using the AD60 at full power, don't put that speaker in it. Even if you didn't, there is the chance that it gets switch to the 60W setting and poof.

yeah I was kind of wondering about the "actual" power limit on that speaker because I'm sure it could handle a little more than 30 watts... but probably not 60.
